Merry and Bright
This holiday season has been such a whirlwind for me. It began before Thanksgiving at a steady clip, and has continued to build right until today, and just as I’m sitting in the car, headed to Florida’s east coast, scenery whizzing by at 70 miles an hour, so too are the minutes and hours flying by. It is hard for me, in this busy time, to give enough pause to enjoy it. Presents to wrap, cookies to bake, messes to make and clean up again as soon as I’ve made them.
This is my Christmas wish for me, and for you: that however calm or however crazy your holiday gets, that you slow down long enough to recognize the love that’s in the air. Below the layers of tissue paper, hiding out underneath the tree, baked deep into every gingerbread man, there is goodwill. It is my hope we all give ourselves the opportunity to feel it.
Peace on earth.
Be so, so well.
